Mehtab is the Group CFO of MUA Group, a regional financial services company, listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius and operating in Mauritius, Seychelles, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda.

The primary focus of MUA is on short-term and long-term insurance, but the group also offers a variety of specialised solutions to corporate and individual clients in the fields of pension, investment, savings and stockbroking.

With more than 20 years’ experience, Mehtab is responsible of all MUA Group’s financial functions which include operational and financial strategy, assessment of organic and acquisition expansion opportunities, solvency and capital needs monitoring, financial planning and analysis, treasury and corporate finance. She has broad experience in insurance operations and holds a Master in Business Administration from the Université de Bordeaux IV, France.

Prior to joining MUA in 2016, Mehtab worked as Senior Manager in the Deals department of PwC where she acted as specialist in financial analysis and structuring, cross-border transactions, corporate valuation, finance raising and financial strategy, also expert in stock exchange related matters, from IPOs and takeovers to delistings.
