Dr. Suzy Aku Puplampu

She is the CEO & Wealth Manager at OctaneDC Ltd. Suzy joined Databank as an Investment Analyst in 2004. Within years, she became Head of the PWM Unit as a VP. As VP, while providing leadership for her team, she additionally worked on mutual funds, institutional portfolios, and pension funds. In 2011, Suzy assumed a new responsibility as Principal-in-Charge of wealth management at OAK Partners. Later, in a matter of three years, Suzy had been elevated to Partner, Wealth Management.

 

In 2017, Dr. Suzy courageously incorporated and managed her own company OctaneSD Ltd. After 2.5yrs of operation, OctaneSD merged with Dalex Capital Ltd. and is now known as OctaneDC Ltd. In 16years, Dr. Suzy has led various wealth management, finance, and administrative teams to manage funds worth over GHS400m for HNWIs, institutions, and mutual funds. Pension Fund was managed on collaborative efforts.

 

As a facilitator/lecturer at the GISI, Dr. Puplampu is in charge of courses at the Foundation & Professional levels of the CISI/GISI pathway. She is also an adjunct lecturer with the Central University Business School. Also, she is an FCCA & an Associate with the CISI. Dr. Suzy is an alumnus of Walden University, USA with a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) specializing in Wealth Management. As a foundation, she holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana, a BA in Economics & Sociology from the University of Cape Coast, and an alumnus of Mawuli Secondary School, Ho.

 

For her corporate governance experience, Dr. Suzy currently serves as the independent trustee of the pensions and provident fund boards of Nestle Ghana, Nestle CWA & the Cocoa Board. In her previous life, she was the Board Chair of Galaxy Balanced Mutual Fund.

 

Suzy believes in continuous education. A reason she is a member of Toastmasters International. In 2017, Suzy joined Toastmasters and currently serves as the Division G Director for the 2021/2022 Toastmasters year. She has also achieved the coveted Toastmasters education recognition: Distinguish Toastmaster (DTM), July 2021.

 

Suzy loves to give back. For this reason, she serves as a Business Mentor for Ashesi University. She also serves as a mentor to several Toastmasters, students, and young executives. As a consolidated effort, in collaboration with three of her close associates, Suzy founded and provides leadership for 4forGrowth, a mentoring platform for level 300 female students of all Universities in Ghana.
