Nishma Awotarowa

Operations Lead, WIFIN

Nishma Awotarowa is the Operations Lead of Women in Finance and Investment Network (WIFIN). She is responsible for the implementation of the right processes and practices across the organization’s various chapters. She leads, guides, and supervises the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of WIFIN’s projects to ensure effective and efficient execution of project deliverables.

 

Nishma is currently working in the Ministry of Financial Services and Good Governance and has previously served the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations, Employment and Training, Republic of Mauritius. Prior to these roles respectively, she interned at the National Pensions Fund, Investment Unit in Mauritius where she performed initial client assessment and analysis as well as supported the Financial Analysts with the daily operational functions.

 

Nishma received a BSc. (Honours) in Actuarial Science and an MSc in Finance from the University of Mauritius. Currently, she is also pursuing the CFA qualifications and has already cleared Level 1. She is a highly proactive individual with adept knowledge of handling and interpreting financial data. Fluent in English, French, Hindi, Bhojpuri (Mauritian), Mauritian Creole, and Sanskrit, Nishma not only has a mastery of languages, but also a passion for classical arts and culture.
