Shivani Sunkur is the Global Membership Lead of Women in Finance and Investment Network (WIFIN) in Mauritius. She leads WIFIN’s efforts to onboard, engage and retain members. She is responsible for the development and execution of membership program strategy to drive organizational sustainability and growth within the WIFIN.

Shivani is working as an Associate Executive at Anex Management Services Ltd in Mauritius where she has the responsibility of assisting the Accounting Team in managing the Global Business Companies (GBCs). Her work requires her to understand the plans of the GBCs, prepare their Financial Statements, and advise the GBCs of any tax payable in Mauritius. Previously, she has worked as a Research Intern at the University of Cape Town (UCT) where she assisted the team with the research tasks for academic publications as well as derived insights into the South African landscape by landscaping the “black tax” phenomenon.

Shivani earned a BCom with a specialization in Management Studies from the University of Cape Town (UCT). She is currently pursuing the ACCA qualifications and has already cleared level 1 and is completing level 2. Outside of work, Shivani enjoys international travels, foreign movies, and music from various corners of the world.
