Women in Finance and Investment Network signs a landmark MoU with the Nobel international Business School

Women in Finance and Investment Network is a non-profit organization committed to taking action to bridge a generational gap in our industry. WIFIN exists to give women the opportunity to receive the highest level of professional education, build credibility, and tap into a global network to pursue a rewarding career in the Finance and Investment management industry.

The Nobel International Business School (NiBS) is a private boutique business school in Ghana. It was founded to make a difference with a new kind of educational model designed to meet the needs of executives, employees, and employers in West Africa.

Extraordinary political and economic developments in Africa over the last several decades are spawning new rules, incentives, and opportunities for economic and political development; and are fuelling new sources of engagement within the global economy. These developments necessitate the development of new theoretical and practical models for understanding, evaluating, and affecting the efficient and fair practice of African management in the local as well as a global setting.

The signing ceremony was held on December 2, 2021, with representatives of both institutions expressing their appreciation and reiterating their commitment to raising highly ethical women professionals in the finance and investment management industry. WIFIN members will henceforth benefit from a scholarship to study doctoral programs or EMBA offered by NiBS.

The President of WIFIN, Dikshita Awotarowa emphasised the various elements required in elevating women leaders in this industry.

“We will never stop assisting our members to achieve their biggest dreams and goals. We understand and appreciate how passionate our global members are about the finance and investment sector and an important component of WIFIN’s efforts to promote its members’ development is through higher education.”

Speaking on behalf of NiBS, Professor Kwaku Atuahene-Gima, the Founder and President of the institution expressed his support in accelerating the growth and raising more women leaders in the industry.

“My goal through this partnership is to provide WIFIN members with the opportunities to unleash their potential as agents of innovation in organizations and societies”.
